US Lawmakers May Assist Brazil With Investigation Into Riots

Aides to US lawmakers from the Jan. 6 committee have engaged in early talks to cooperate with Brazilian lawmakers trying to examine the storming of the capital Brasilia by protesters urging a army coup to overthrow the president, based on two folks accustomed to the matter.

US Consultant Bennie Thompson, chairman of the just lately dissolved Home of Representatives committee that investigated the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the US Capitol, is among the lawmakers whose aides are concerned within the talks, based on one of many sources, who requested anonymity as a result of the discussions are preliminary.
