Washington:
US President Joe Biden mentioned he was “deeply saddened” and promised his nation’s help Monday after a significant 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit Turkey and Syria, killing practically 1,800 individuals.
“I’m deeply saddened by the lack of life and devastation attributable to the earthquake in Turkiye and Syria. I’ve directed my workforce to proceed to carefully monitor the state of affairs in coordination with Turkiye and supply any and all wanted help,” the president tweeted from his official account.
