Brazil's Jair Bolsonaro Vows To 'Remain Active' In Politics

On Tuesday Bolsonaro once more questioned his election loss.

Brazil’s former president Jair Bolsonaro intends “to stay energetic in Brazilian politics,” he informed a reception in Orlando, Florida on Tuesday.

The far-right chief made the promise to some 400 supporters gathered within the metropolis by Sure Brazil USA, a conservative organisation of Brazilian expatriates in the US.

Bolsonaro was defeated within the final election by leftist Luis Inacio Lula da Silva, and left Brazil on December 30, two days earlier than his rival’s inauguration.

He has been in the US ever since, and is looking for a six-month visa there, his lawyer mentioned Monday.

He has repeatedly forged doubt on the integrity of the election, and on January 8 tons of of his supporters stormed the seat of energy in Brasilia, ransacking the presidential palace, the Congress and the Supreme Courtroom.

On Tuesday Bolsonaro once more questioned his election loss.

However he mentioned he regretted “what some inconsistent folks did” on January 8.

Bolsonaro has come below scrutiny over the riot, with the brand new authorities ordering a probe of him.

He has largely saved a low profile since flying to Florida. He has been staying close to Disney World on the Orlando house of Brazilian former martial arts champion Jose Aldo and was photographed consuming fried rooster alone at a KFC restaurant.
