Surveillance images launched of suspect in slaying of NYC teen

Cops launched surveillance photographs of a suspect and car believed to be linked to the deadly taking pictures of a 13-year-old boy within the Bronx this week.

Jaryan “Jay Ripp” Elliot was gunned down on East 187th Avenue close to Prospect Avenue in Belmont round 3:15 p.m. Sunday, cops mentioned. 

Cops launched a surveillance picture late Wednesday of a suspect they are saying is linked to the slaying, pointing a firearm as he stood behind a darkish Honda Accord with three orange stripes on the hood.

The car was final seen headed eastbound on East 187th Avenue after which turning left onto Southern Boulevard.

Pals informed The Publish that Elliot needed to go away the Crips within the days earlier than he was killed.

Elliot was killed in retaliation for the dying of Tyquill Daugherty, 19, who was shot within the head in entrance of his dwelling in Crotona at 11:35 p.m. July 7, police sources mentioned.

Elliot — who simply graduated from center faculty — was on the scene when Daugherty was shot, though he’s not believed to have pulled the set off, sources mentioned. 

A number of hours after Elliot was shot, revenge for his homicide was taken on 16-year-old Ramon Gil-Medrano, who was gunned down by two males on scooters just a little over a mile away in Mount Hope, sources mentioned.

Gil-Medrano, who was affiliated with the 800 YGz, or “Younger Gunnaz,’’ gang, had been on the scene of the 13-year-old’s slaying, though it isn’t clear if he was liable for the killing, sources mentioned.

A borough cop this week described the gun violence within the borough as a part of “a serious gang struggle.”
