A College of Massachusetts Amherst lacrosse participant from Lengthy Island died Monday morning at simply 19 years previous.
Aidan Kaminska, who was raised in Port Jefferson, died “unexpectedly,” in response to an obituary discover and the college.
Neither the obituary nor the college’s announcement lists the scholar’s explanation for dying.
Kaminska was a sophomore communications main and a midfielder for UMass Amherst’s lacrosse crew, the Minutemen.
The teenager was recognized for “his infectious smile” and his skill as “an incredible athlete,” in response to his obituary.
He was named Rookie of the Week and known as “an unlikely hero” by the scholar newspaper after scoring three objectives towards Hofstra College in April. He went on to hitch the CAA All-Rookie crew for the 2022 season and ended the season being named to the 2022 CAA All-Match crew.



Kaminska’s affinity for athletics started in his Lengthy Island hometown when he began taking part in lacrosse as a teenager.
A scholar of the Port Jefferson Faculty District, he performed each lacrosse and soccer in highschool — and have become a crew captain in each sports activities. He received a number of honors together with All-County Midfielder in lacrosse and All-County and All-State in soccer for his senior 12 months.
Kaminska liked child animals, taking lengthy walks in nature, cooking and attempting out new recipes. He “liked to be goofy and make individuals chuckle,” his household stated in his obituary.
